Role Overview

As a Workshop Technician, you will be working as part of our dedicated Workshop Team committed to the management of our temporary lighting fleet with regard to all repairs and maintenance requirements. This role reports to the Head of Operations and is full time based out of our Lutterworth depot.

We are looking for someone who is familiar in working within a workshop, production or manufacturing environment who is electrically and/or mechanically minded. The role offers room for development and a chance to work on a range of different solar based products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance, including servicing, repairs and inspections across Prolectric entire hire fleet.
  • Quality Control: Ensure products meet quality standards prior to dispatch.
  • Site Attendances: Action site attendance to complete repairs and/or routine maintenance at customer locations as required.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all company health and safety policies, as well as ISO 9001 quality management systems, contributing to a safe work environment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely alongside other team members to ensure all assets are maintained, repair and quality checked prior to onward delivery in line with customer requirements.
  • Support Duties: Carry out additional duties as required to ensure the effective functioning of the Operations department.
  • On-Call Requirements: Participate in the on-call rota as required.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in production, workshop, or engineering environment
  • Basic technical or mechanical knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems is preferable
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work to operational deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical instructions
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures and legislation
  • Skilled in using tools & diagnostic equipment
  • Full UK driving license
