Our solar temporary lighting towers and generators are being utilised across the arts industry including television (TV), film production, outdoor events and festivals, to reduce the reliance on traditional diesel tower lights and generators.
The events industry is responsible for millions of tonnes of CO2 emissions every year in the UK. Event organisers and production houses are being challenged to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability and corporate social responsibility by embracing renewable energy solutions, such as our innovative solar lighting towers and hybrid generators.
Our ProPower Solar Hybrid Generator offers significant long-term cost savings compared to traditional diesel generators, as it requires minimal fuel and therefore has much less maintenance requirements. While the initial investment may be higher, on average customers are cost neutral after 29 months and will save over $20,000 per annum thereafter compared to traditional diesel generators.
Utilising our ProPower Solar Hybrid Generator provides production businesses with an easy-to-deploy, off-grid power solution. Allowing more flexibility for remote and off-grid location sets to be used, which have no access to electricity and wanting to avoid the noise and noxious smells of diesel alternatives.
Unlike noisy diesel generators, our solar generator operates silently at night when drawing power from the batteries, creating a quieter and more comfortable environment for events and productions. This is especially beneficial for outdoor events, concerts, and film productions where noise pollution can detract from the experience and disrupt performances.
Our solar generator is equipped with 10 lithium-ion batteries that store excess energy generated during daylight hours, ensuring a reliable power supply at night.
Since we launched our temporary lighting towers in 2016, we have saved our customers over $12m in fuel costs and avoided over 29,762 tons of carbon from being emitted into the atmosphere. Our tower lights, save customers over $3,758 per annum compared to the next most efficient option on the market.
Our ProRXM Solar Tower Light uses zero fuel. So not only do our customers save on fuel costs but they can eliminate the need for operatives to regularly handle diesel to refuel the tower lights and the potential for spillages is removed, simplifying operations. With no diesel engine our lights require a lot less maintenance and servicing, generally every 6 months only, making them a truly ‘setup and forget’ technology.
We have invested in making our solar lighting towers the smartest in the market. We have made all of our lighting towers autonomous enabling them to self-manage, ensuring the light works as long and as late as you do. We are the proof that solar technology has been finely honed over the past decades and works all year round, whatever the weather, as proven in Scotland!
Our ProRXM Lighting Tower operates silently, meaning no noise to disturb your environment, allowing event organisers to embrace sustainability and communicate their own green credentials to their audiences.
After the initial concern of suggesting to run a diesel generator 24/7 for the project duration, Magnox hired the ProPower Solar Hybrid Generator. The evident demonstration of the effectiveness of commercially available solar hybrid equipment has been the driving force behind this investigation. This provided a great example of sustainable solutions meeting the needs of projects on site and demonstrates the applicability of using solar hybrid systems.
Jack ArmitageAs an established leading temporary electrical contractor for events, television, and festivals for 20 years, we were looking to offer our clients a greener and more sustainable option for their temporary power requirements.
We initially loved the idea of Prolectric’s Solar Hybrid Generator, the ProPower, but for it to work in our applications, we needed to make some adjustments. Prolectric’s development team worked closely with us to work to a solution that suited us perfectly.
We are more than happy with both the service and the product that Prolectric offer and are excited to see our clients benefit from such an innovative product.
Jerry StevensThe JV welcomed the opportunity to participate in the trial of this new sustainable power solution, confirming it as a viable and more sustainable alternative to traditional generators, and look forward to working with Prolectric again in the future.
Jon MuffThe great thing about Prolectric’ s ProLights is that we haven’t had to touch them since they were delivered. If we wanted to change the settings we simply called Prolectric and adjusted the settings using their portal. It made sense for us to use our site resources elsewhere and let Prolectric manage the lights for us and ensure we get optimal usage from them.
Eric MilneWe frequently need to maintain screens, set up temporary defences, apply temporary structures, or operate gates and sluices in an emergency situation during the hours of darkness. The beauty of the technology is that it is activated only as-needed by PIR motion sensors and without the fumes or noise nuisance from a diesel generator tower light. The ProTemp light is easy to position using a fork lift for temporary defences. We also have the option to transfer the lighting unit to a permanent post and provide a permanent installation.
