About the Role

As a Factory Technician, you will be working as part of our dedicated Factory Team committed to the smooth running of our production process. This role reports to the Head of Factory and is full time based out of our Clevedon depot.

We are looking for someone who is experienced in working within a factory, production or manufacturing environment who is electrically and/or mechanically minded. The role offers room for development and a chance to work on a range of different solar based products.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assembly and Production: Following specific production instructions/processes and assembling components to create finished product.
  • Quality Control: Ensuring products meet quality standards and reporting defects or issues.
  • Product Maintenance: Carry out routine preventative maintenance, including servicing and inspections.
  • Compliance and Safety: Adhere to all company health and safety policies, as well as ISO 9001 quality management systems.
  • Meeting Production Targets: Ensuring production deadlines are met.
  • Team Collaboration: Working closely alongside other team members to ensure all products are built, tested and commissioned in line with our customer requirements.
  • Support Duties: Carry out additional duties as required to ensure the effective functioning of the Operations department.
  • On-Call Requirements: Participate in the on-call rota as necessary.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Experienced in production, workshop, or engineering environment
  • Basic technical or mechanical knowledge
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Electrical systems (preferable)
  • Ability to follow instructions with an attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work to operational deadlines
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently
  • Working knowledge of health and safety legislation, systems, and procedures
  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in a related field or position
  • Experienced in using tools & diagnostic equipment
  • Problem solving skills
  • Full UK driving license
