Role Overview
 In this newly created role, the Sales Order Processor will be responsible for the accurate processing and coordination of customer orders across the Mallatite business. The role requires close collaboration with Procurement, Stores, Production, Logistics and Sales teams across multiple locations to ensure customer orders are processed, fulfilled and dispatched efficiently.
Whilst employed by Prolectric, the role will primarily support the operational requirements of Mallatite Limited, a leading provider of signage, safety and infrastructure solutions. The successful candidate will act as a key link between customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth delivery of customer orders.
This is a full-time role with a requirement to be present at our Clevedon site throughout each week. You may be required to travel elsewhere in the UK as the business needs dictate. This is a operational role which sits within the Procurement team, and reports to the Head of Procurement.
Key Responsibilities
 Process and check customer orders for accuracy using company ERP systems and internal procedures
- Booking goods into the ERP system, ensuring accurate quantities, product codes and documentation
- Raise and process pick lists, works orders and dispatch documentation
- Liaise with Procurement and internal stakeholders to obtain accurate information regarding product availability and lead times
- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores and Production teams to support efficient order fulfillment and provide accurate customer updates
- Tracking order progress and proactively communicating updates to relevant stakeholders
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, including production, purchasing and sales departments across multiple satellite sites
- Handle order-related customer enquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
- Any other reasonable duties within your skills remit to support the operational duties of the department and wider business
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- 2+ years previous experience as a Sales Order Processor
- C/4 in Maths and English GCSE or equivalent
- Proven experience processing, tracking and maintaining sales orders, delivery documentation, invoices, stock records, whilst liaising effectively with internal departments and customers.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify missing, inconsistent or incomplete information
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Sage
- Competent use of Microsoft Outlook, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive and standard office systems
- Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment desirable
