Prolectric, the off-grid, renewable lighting and power specialist, has completed a successful solar lighting trial with Coinford, groundwork and concrete frame specialists, resulting in the supply of 10 bespoke ProRXM Solar Tower Lights. This is the first phase of a partnership agreement over the next 4 years.
As part of Coinford’s robust commitment to best practice and sustainability, the innovative partnership with Prolectric will enable the company to lower its carbon footprint, whilst reducing diesel costs and its reliance on fossil fuel consumption, in favour of renewable solar technology.
Working closely over the last 12 months following a successful trial of the units, Coinford and Prolectric developed a series of modifications to the standard setup of the ProRXM Tower Light resulting in the creation of a completely bespoke product for Coinford’s site-specific requirements. By switching from diesel to solar powered lighting, Coinford is expected to save over 45,000 kgs of CO₂e per annum on the initial 10 ProRXM units, compared to most efficient diesel tower light.
Chris Forrest, Plant Director, Coinford, comments: “We are doing whatever we can to minimise our environmental impact and as such we constantly review our processes to work in a smarter and more sustainable way. Following our extensive engagement with the market to find a solution that was fit for purpose, a partnership developed with Prolectric which has enabled us to create a unique product and solution that matched our requirements and exceeded expectation. The Prolectric team were willing to invest significant time and resource to the project, to understand our specific needs. Additional confidence was then secured during the trial period. We trialled others, but Prolectric gave us the innovation, as well as the assurance and the commitment we needed.”
Kathryn Adams, Commercial Director, Prolectric, added: “Our collaboration with Coinford is a great working example of true partnership. As solar and battery off-grid experts, Prolectric is dedicated to assisting the construction and rental market in choosing lighting solutions to align with their sustainability initiatives and specific project needs. Increasingly, it is important to procure portable solar tower lights that align with Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); and this in itself requires a robust blend of expertise in renewable energy, sustainability, and construction equipment. We are delighted that we were able to offer the Coinford team the confidence they needed. Tower lights are an essential piece of onsite equipment for safer work after dark and in areas of poor lighting – and with so many mobile tower lights available on the market, it is critical to get it right. Coinford’s approach to best practice means they were rightly unwilling to compromise on anything that didn’t meet their criteria.”
The ProRXM is a small footprint Solar-only Tower Light, specifically designed to remove the use of diesel tower lights in the construction industry. As part of Prolectric’s solar tower lighting portfolio, the ProRXM offers the most advanced tower light on the market. With full GPS and telematics, alongside the Smart Remote management portal and smart batteries, the ProRXM is the only tower light that uniquely requires no battery drainage. Prolectric also offers patented autonomous lighting.
Prolectric offers a range of tower lights to suit any application based on site requirements and works with customers to facilitate the switch from diesel tower lights to solar-powered or hybrid tower lights.
