Prolectric team at amps award ceremony 2023

Prolectric, the off-grid, renewable lighting, and power specialist, has been recognised as a category winner at this year’s AMPS Awards for Excellence, bringing home the highly coveted award for Energy and Sustainability.

The AMPS (Association of Manufacturers and suppliers of Power Systems and ancillary equipment) Awards celebrate the industry’s commitment to innovation and excellence and its vital role in shaping a sustainable future. The award winners were announced at the AMPS Celebration Dinner on 16 November 2023, at the historic National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham.

This year, the awards highlighted the setting of a new benchmark for sustainable practices within the sector; celebrating the sizeable contribution that has been made towards a greener future. The judges remarked: “Prolectric stands out for their all-encompassing approach to sustainability, significantly reducing emissions while saving costs for clients. Their commitment to eco-friendly practices and community engagement sets a high standard in the sector.”

Rachel Preen, Managing Director, Prolectric, said “We are delighted to win the AMPS award for Energy and Sustainability – it’s a true honour for our hugely talented team at Prolectric.  Whilst more and more solar energy solutions are being adopted at pace across the UK, there remains a significant job to do, to clearly convey the value proposition that renewable power solutions offer. We are committed to communicating to the market the benefits – and ultimately why switching to solar makes good environmental and commercial business sense.”

This award follows closely behind Prolectric’s CSRA gold Accreditation for corporate social responsibility (CSR). For the second time, the gold standard was awarded for the company’s dedication to an integrated environmental and social responsibility agenda, plus commitment to the welfare and development of its workforce and engagement with the local community.

Prolectric’s complete range of environmentally friendly, advanced performance products have been designed as direct like-for-like diesel replacements, making them a simple switch.

Since launching the company’s first solar lighting tower, Prolectric estimates to have saved their customers 27 million kg of CO2 and reduced diesel usage by more than 10 million litres. This represents a likely customer saving of more than £9 million.

Prolectric is committed to providing practical and commercially viable ways for businesses to move away from fossil fuels to reduce carbon emissions, achieve their net zero goals and save money.
