Pre-Installation Survey & Design Mapping
- We partner with Precision Utilities Mapping to overlay service locations onto lighting designs.
- Buried services data is reviewed in detail to help mitigate the risk of striking underground services during installation.
On-Site Risk Check
- Our engineers scan proposed column locations using CAT4+ and signal generators.
- Site-specific hazards such as shading, access restrictions, and the presence of live electrical cables are assessed before work begins.
Contractor Vetting & Compliance
- All subcontractors work under NEC3-based contracts and meet our pre-qualification standards.
- Our subcontractor approval process ensures all partners meet strict health, safety, and quality benchmarks.
Supervised Installations
- Installations are carried out by trained teams, with quality checks and validation – including photographic and measurement records – captured via our GoCanvas app.
- All foundations, column placement and final fits are verified before handover.
Final Assembly & Commissioning
- Once concrete has cured, we return to install solar panels and lighting units.
- Commissioning involves a simple functionality test to confirm the lights operate as expected, with site photos captured for general installation records.

Engineered designs
We work with an independent structural engineer, who have developed a set of foundation designs to suit the majority of sites across England and Wales, specifically for our range of lighting column specifications and the size & weight of the solar panels we supply. Bespoke or site specific foundation designs can also be developed upon request as an additional service.
