Your Opportunity

You have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a plant/generator technician based in Clevedon UK. Working as part of our Factory team and you will report to the Factory Manager. The role offers room for development, with plenty of variation and the chance to work on a variety of different solar based lighting and hybrid power generator products.

We are looking for somebody with a well-established plant/generator background who is passionate about providing quality service to the customer, has a real attention to detail and works well within a wider team of technicians to achieve a common goal.

Key Responsibilities in the Role

  • To play a key role in the production and maintenance of all solar based lighting and hybrid power generator products
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance, including servicing and inspections
  • Action on-site diagnoses and repairs as required by the customer
  • Ensure the customer is put first by adopting appropriate levels of care relative to the customer’s needs
  • Ensure the build quality, preparation and presentation of company assets are of the highest quality at all times
  • Working closely alongside other team members to ensure all products are built, tested and commissioned in line with the customers requirements
  • Adhere to health & safety requirements and environmental protocols by being compliant with correct PPE, method statements and risk assessments

Skills, Knowledge and Competencies Required

  • Experienced in either the productions or maintenance of plant/generator equipment within a similar field
  • Good working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
  • Numeracy & literacy skills to level 2 or above
  • Working knowledge of health and safety legislation, systems and procedures
  • Excellent time, communication and workload management skills with the ability to work to strict deadlines

Schedule

  • 8 hour shift (07:30 – 16:00)
  • 40 hours per week
  • Overtime available where necessary/required

Required

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a related field/position
  • Full UK driving license
