What is your current role and main responsibilities?
I am the Business Development Manager for our solar hybrid power products. My responsibilities include promoting the benefits of solar hybrid power and selling our ProPower Solar Hybrid Generator and ProPower Solar Hybrid 3-phase, as well as providing aftercare and support to our customers.
What does a typical day look like for you?
No two days are the same at Prolectric, which is what I really enjoy. I love meeting people and discussing how we could help them towards their cost-saving and carbon reduction goals. One day I could be showcasing our products at a customer innovation event; the next, I could have several meetings with existing and potential customers lined up, discussing the environmental and economic benefits of our products.
What are some of the most exciting projects you have worked on recently?
Without revealing too much, Prolectric have a lot of exciting things in development for the coming months! Helping with the launch of our ProPower Solar Hybrid 3-phase has been a highlight recently, as well as watching our online Smart Remote Portal develop.
What common misconceptions about your industry would you like to dispel?
I’d say it’s getting people to trust the power of the Sun, even in the UK! Solar panels do not require tropical sunshine year-round to harness energy. Every second, the amount of sunlight that hits the Earth, exceeds all the world’s energy needs for the year by ten times, and unlike coal and oil, it doesn’t run out and does not produce harmful emissions.
