Prolectric Permanent Solar Street Lighting is Dark Sky approved, meaning our products are certified by a third-party objectively. Designs and projects produce minimal glare, reducing light trespass, and don’t pollute the night sky.
Remote Management in Street Lights
If you require remote management, we will fit a ‘master controller’ into one or more lights (depending on the site layout/no.of lights) which is fitted with a 4G SIM card and LoRA (Long range radio communication device) which connects with all other lights on the site to allow them to communicate with each other. The 4G SIM card in the master controller collects and transmits all data to the cloud, which allows you to view the units on the portal. The other lights on the site are called ‘Workers’ and are fitted with LoRA enabling them to communicate with the master controller.
To ensure a stable connection between the master controller and workers, in usual circumstances we work to a ratio of 1:80. However, we also consider the terrain, surrounding obstacles (buildings/tree cover etc) so this number may be increased.
The maximum transmission distance between the gateway and the worker is 2km in the open field. But the distance in actual use is recommended to be controlled within 1km of sight distance. However, if there are a lot of obstacles between the gateway and the worker transmission between the two maybe impacted. In such cases we would increase the number of gateways appropriately.

Street Lighting Compliance
Our street lights are fixed at a static angle for wind-loading and compliance. In some instances, like in Northern Scotland, a more acute angle may be required and we have engineered a bracket to enable this. Variable angle brackets are liable to not be compliant for wind-loading, we therefore recommend not using them when possible.

We offer split-type systems where the Panel points South and the Light faces the needed direction. Fixed at a static angle for compliance and wind-loading, our products avoid limitations of all-in-one systems. Foundations and columns meet British Standards, with custom columns often needed due to wind-loading. Our unique 3-PIR sensors provide a wider range of motion, ensuring effective lighting from multiple angles, ideal for footpaths. This prevents the PIR from only activating when directly beneath the Light.
