Prolectric Services have been announced as the winner of the
Queen’s Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development 2021.
The award was personally approved by Her Majesty the Queen, and recommended to Her Majesty by the Prime Minister. The award is the UK’s most prestigious business accolade, and recognises Prolectic’s leadership in developing and bringing smart, sustainable technology to key industries.
Prolectric is the UK’s leading supplier of sustainable lighting and power solutions to the rail, construction and infrastructure industry and were the first company to introduce permanent solar-only street lights to the UK in 2011.
The rigorous evaluation process recognised Prolectric’s extensive in-house R&D, through which they have developed a range of environmentally friendly solar and battery powered products to service these traditionally diesel heavy sectors.
Managing Director, Chris Williams said, “We are absolutely delighted and honoured to receive this award. We have worked so hard to embed an innovative approach to our business operations and product development – with sustainability at the core. We focus heavily on the environmental impact of every product we develop, thinking in terms of carbon savings, diesel savings and noise reduction. We have worked equally as hard on building our amazing team and collaborating with a fantastic customer base, and I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone.”
